Introduction

This guide is intended to provide an up-to-date list of legal fiction books which were first published between 2000 and March 2012. An ideal user of the guide might be someone who is interested in reading legal fiction novels or teaches a Law and Literature course in a law school or other institution of higher learning.

In order to create this bibliography, a search was first conducted on OCLC (Online Computer Library Center) under the subject heading "Legal Stories" and then the result list was reviewed in order to determine the relevancy of the results. Subsequently, many of the items that were retrieved through OCLC were cross-checked with online websites, such as BarnesandNoble.com and amazon.com. Although this guide is intended to be accurate, this list should not be considered the preeminent authorative source of all legal fiction books from 2000 to March 2012. Quite honestly, the possibility exists that some books may have been overlooked through this research process.
