This guide gives an overview of the materials in the Gould Law Library.

Computers

Computers

Wireless access to the school’s online network is available throughout the library for current students, faculty, and staff, as well visitors viewing our government depository collection.  Please visit our Circulation Desk to obtain wireless access information.

Study rooms and study tables are equipped with power for laptops.

Two computer labs are also available on the third floor of the library. The computer labs are open for use by current students, faculty, and staff, as well as visitors seeking to use online Federal government information. Those interested in using online Federal government information in our computer labs should visit our Circulation Desk for assistance.

Please be advised that alternating computer labs sometimes will be closed when reserved for classes.

Study Rooms

Study Rooms

  • The Gould Law Library has 22 study rooms for individual or group study available for reserve.
  • Upon making the reservation, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with a link to verify. You must confirm your reservation or else it will be cancelled. Please cancel the reservation if you do not plan on using the room.
  • Reservations are taken up to 24 hours in advance.
  • Limit of one reservation per student per day.
  • Reservations are for a maximum of 2 hours in a row.
  • All study rooms are "Quiet Conversation" areas.

Each of the library's four floors contains study tables and carrels for silent study.

Quiet conversation is permitted in the soft seating areas across from the Circulation Desk and on the third floor of the library. 

The Health Science and School of Education library is located on the second floor. All study tables and rooms are available to all students.

Please protect your belongings while using the library and its study rooms. Personal items, including books and laptops, left unattended may be collected by guards and will be kept at the security desk in the atrium. The library cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal items left unattended.

A large, silent study reading room is available on the second floor for all students.
